What you can get with our boiler cover

Although gas boilers are arguably the most important appliance in British homes, as they provide the hot water we need to keep ourselves and our homes clean and the central heating we need to keep our homes liveable, they can also be among the most dangerous. A properly-serviced boiler will not pose any danger to people, but old boilers that have not been serviced for years can become clogged with debris, can stop working effectively, and can leak dangerous gases such as carbon monoxide.

Boiler breakdowns are therefore not just a pain to deal with, but can actually create serious risks. But with boiler cover from 24|7 Home Rescue, these concerns will be a thing of the past.

Boiler cover

With our 24/7 assistance, you will be fully protected from boiler breakdowns. We aim to offer the most outstanding boiler cover service contracts available on the market, so we don’t just cover the boiler itself, but all of its interconnecting pipes and components, and we have thousands of engineers in our network from every region of the UK, so we can respond to claims immediately.

We take great care to ensure that every engineer in our network is Gas Safe Registered, ensuring everyone who performs boiler repairs and services for us is qualified and competent to do so.

Gas boiler cover and warranties

You may think that you do not need boiler cover as you received a warranty when you bought the product, or because you have insured the appliance elsewhere. However, many people have found that these service contracts are inadequate when their boiler breaks down and they need to make a claim – they may discover that there are no engineers available, or that they have to pay a call-out fee. A homeowner recently had to resort to contacting The Express after taking out a boiler cover and annual service policy with Scottish Power, only to discover that the energy giant would not conduct his second annual boiler service. Scottish Power only agreed to perform a boiler service after the newspaper got involved.

Scottish Power and any of the other ‘Big Six’ energy companies might not care too much if their boiler cover policies end up annoying their customers – they have a huge number of income streams, and many would argue that their reputations could not get any worse anyway! As an independent company, we could not afford to offer sub-standard boiler cover plans – we need to ensure that all of our members receive the standard of service they expect, receive prompt repairs when they need them, and receive annual services with no hassle.

We aim to respond to all boiler breakdown claims in as little time as possible, generally sending an engineer to a member’s property within just four hours of the date they get in touch with us, and always within 24 hours. No matter what time of the year it is, rain or shine, whether it’s the middle of the working week or on Christmas Day, you can rest assured that we will be there to help.
