Washing Machine Insurance – Taking Care of Important Appliances

The washing machine must be 7 years old or under to qualify for the cover and we don’t cover refurbished or second-hand washing machine. Please be ready to provide proof of purchase when requested. The washing machine must be no more than 12 years old at the time of renewal unless your appliance has been continuously covered since January 2023.

Furthermore, your agreement does not cover any damage caused by deliberate actions, misuse, modifications, neglect, or a lack of maintenance.

To claim accidental damage, mechanical breakdown, or electrical breakdown for your washing machine, call our 24-hour claims helpline or log a claim online by signing into your My 24|7 account. The credentials are provided to your My Account after the policy purchase.

Suppose we cannot repair your appliance, or we’ve assessed that your appliance is beyond economical repair, and we have continuously covered you for at least six months. In that case, we will provide you with vouchers, to a maximum value of £1,000, as a contribution towards a replacement.

If your appliance is no more than five years old, we will supply vouchers to the value of the current retail price of a similar model, subject to policy limits. If your appliance is over five years old, the value of vouchers will be calculated based on the current value of the machine after annual depreciation of 10% is applied.
