Scalemaster is a UK company who has a long history in producing and delivering high quality water treatment solutions – sourced in the UK and trusted by tradesman, professionals and consumers alike.
History
For over 30 years, Scalemaster had been a leading supplier of water treatment products which are used in a range of applications from safari parks to dental surgeries, from vet’s clinics to airports. In 1983, they developed and patented the first ‘electrolytic’ in-line limescale inhibitor providing whole house protection from limescale and now boast an impressive portfolio featuring all aspects of water treatment in both domestic and commercial properties.
In particular, Scalemaster Softline Water Softeners are amongst the most economical and energy efficient on the market, using the minimum amount of salt and water to provide perfectly soft water.
Scalemaster was also the first company to produce a more environmentally-friendly range of premium heating-system chemicals. The company also achieved ISO14001:2004 accreditation in 2014 which demonstrated their commitment to the use of materials from sustainable sources and manufacturing procedures aimed at minimising the risk to the environment.

Scalemaster i-Mag Magnetic Sludge Filter
Boilers are traditionally made from metal and as they contain water they are a recipe for rust to be formed. Chemicals can prevent the build-up of such debris in the heating system but a magnetic sludge filter can ensure the removal and cleaning of sludge and prevents it from circulating through the boiler.
Sludge is the by-product of corrosion that takes place within radiators. It then becomes water-borne and deposits in pumps and valves which can result in the premature failure of the components if left untreated.
A Scalemaster i-Mag Magnetic Sludge Filter will help to maintain your central heating systems efficiency, remove water-borne sludge, improve the heating system’s lifespan and can also help to reduce heating bills. The magnetic sludge filter from Scalemaster is a safe, effective and easy solution in removing sludge whilst also featuring an exclusive stainless steel, commercial grade construction with double seal for extra security and long term reliability.
Scalemaster Water Softeners
Over 70% of homes in the UK suffer from hard water. Hard water is water that has high mineral content and is the result of a dissolved minerals, calcium and magnesium. Hard water is obvious by the deposits left in kettles and washing machines and can over time affect both your water heating efficiency and your appliance functionality too.
Furthermore, limescale build-up can also increase your fuel bill by up to 10% each year whilst making cleaning a lot more difficult due to the soap scum left on fixtures.
Scalemaster water softeners are easy to install; they require no cables or electrical sockets to provide a neat and simple operation. The compact size of a water softener from Scalemaster means that it can fit into a standard 300mm cabinet and the multi-access plumbing allows you to plumb in from the left, right or even back.
The benefits of having soft water means your appliances will be protected when using water thus working effectively and efficiently for longer.
The Scalemaster Softline range of water softeners are around 30% cheaper to run than other domestic water softeners on the market and is protected by a full 5 year parts and labour warranty.
