A number of volunteers from 24|7 Home Rescue are preparing to dig out their running shoes for the annual East Lancashire Hospice 10k run.
The warranty provider is entering a team of six runners, headed up by financial controller Gina Dobson to raise money for the hospice which aims to support and care for people with life-limiting illnesses.
The team are hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for the event which takes place on the 24th January at Gaskell Motor Bodies in Great Hardwood. The event starts at 11am and includes both family and junior races. Refreshments will be sold throughout the day to keep both spectators and runners well fuelled.
24|7 Home Rescue is a proud sponsor of this event and staff will be appearing on the day to cheer on all the runners participating for such a wonderful and worthy cause.
Hassan Khonat, Operations Director at 24|7 Home Rescue, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring such a worthwhile cause. It’s great to see our own staff members entering the race and we, at 24|7 Home Rescue, are excited to be supporting them on the day. East Lancashire Hospice is an incredible local charity that works so hard in providing pain-free and dignified care to their patients so we are extremely honoured to be able to raise money for them.”
Kimberley Hall, fundraiser at East Lancashire Hospice, said: “We are ecstatic to welcome 24 7 Home Rescue as sponsors for the 3rd East Lancashire Hospice 10k event. Their support in sponsoring the official t shirts as well as entering a team will hopefully help to make it the best one yet and raise as much as possible to care for our patients and their families.”
