The Lancashire-based warranty provider saved Christmas for Lisa Cornell after she had been living with no heating or hot water for over a month.
After looking into numerous options for heating her home during Winter, special needs teaching assistant Ms Cornell was devastated to hear she’d been turned down for finance options and could not afford to buy a boiler outright.
With a few days to go before Christmas and with her son in hospital after suffering a serious motorbike accident, she turned to 24|7 Home Rescue who understood her situation and leased the boiler as a goodwill gesture to keep her home warm and snug throughout the holidays.
Raquel from the customer services team dealt with Ms Cornell from start to finish and arranged for a technician to conduct a pre-installation on the 18th December with an engineering visit for the complete fit taking place on 22nd December just in time for Christmas. The new concept, called Stay Warm, from 24|7 Home Rescue would make it easier for customers who can’t get credit and ensures the boiler is installed, maintained and serviced for three years.
Raquel said: “Ms Cornell called us and was really distressed. I felt terrible for her having such a difficult time before Christmas and when she discovered we could lease her the boiler she was absolutely delighted. I went out of my way to ensure the boiler was installed in time for Christmas – it was no trouble, I just really wanted to help someone who was in need.”
Ms Cornell was delighted with the work and effort Raquel had put into helping her saying she had gone ‘above and beyond’, even ordering parts for her installation from home on days off and whilst out doing her own Christmas shopping.
